About Us.

FIDO (Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization) is playing a major role in the country's development.

Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization (FIDO) is an Ethiopian resident charity organization established in the year 2002 by Ethiopian volunteers in Jimma zone. FIDO has a vision to see Ethiopians who have equal opportunity for health, education, development and well being and working to contribute for the fulfillment of its dream through partnership and empowerment. The governing body of the organization is the general assembly composed of community members, professionals from various fields, and individuals working in the public sectors.

The board of directors composed of very experienced and concerned professionals, is the responsible body assigned by the general assembly to oversee and monitor the overall operations of the organization.

Since its establishment, FIDO has been actively engaged emphasizing on community health, education, livelihood, women empowerment, childcare and support including community based and sponsorship,and youth development programs/projects and other relief supports in collaboration with government and various non-government organizations. In terms of geographic coverage the organization is mandated to operate in all regions of the country and have practical experiences implementing different projects and programs in Oromia, South Nation Nationality People, Somali, Gambella and Addis Ababa regions. Currently, FIDO has 4-field coordination and 44 project offices in SNNPR and Oromia regions. The organization has a total of 94 staffs (31 female and 63male ) with educational background ranging from MSc/MPH and BSc/BA, to Diploma in health, social science and community development fields. 10320 female volunteer are also working with the organization in various programs/projects.

In general, FIDO has ample experience working on Health, Education, Development and Well being, and Relief supports in the country. In terms of capacity, it has strong program and financial management system in place. The program department has M&E section, which coordinates relevant activities of projects (planning, monitoring, evaluation, supportive supervision, and mentoring, reporting, and documentation of promising and best practices). There are well-experienced and qualified program staffs in the organization that can manage different projects/programs.
